Website

How do I route?

There are a couple options for routing. You can route using Microsoft Streets and Trips or use click to route. For a step by step process of routing with Streets and Trips, please watch the video in the HELP section of you Ezinspections account.

How do I upload photos?

You can use several ways to upload photos on the web.

(a)

In a Field Rep account, click 'Upload' on Summary or Job List page. This is the ‘Batch Upload’ option where you can upload all the photos of your trip at once and then drag and drop them to active jobs.

Note: this action will resize all uploaded photos to 640x480. This button is not available in Admin user account.

 
(b)

Upload icon at the top of Job Edit page (or Upload -> Photos (Flash) at the bottom of the page): this allows you to upload multiple photos at once. Special logic is in place to resize (or not resize) photos based on specific client requirement.

 
(c)

Upload -> Files and Diagrams at the bottom of Job Edit page: this is the basic upload option if others do not work.

Why is the website slow?

EZ is under system maintenance daily from 3am-6am Eastern (12:00 am-3:00 AM PST). Please avoid accessing EZ during that time.

You may also experience slowness for short periods due to normal performance fluctuations. Try waiting a short period (usually 3 to 5 minutes) before trying again, to see if the situation improves.

EZmobile Android

Where do I get the app?

On your Anroid phone or tablet, log into your EZ account, go to Help -> Downloads page, then tap the green button to download the .apk file. Finally, tap the .apk file on your phone to install it.

Note that EZmobile Android app is not available from the Google Play Store.

How to complete a job?

Tap the photo tab to attach photos. Be sure to tab the "Complete" button on the Data tab to have the results and photos run through the validation process. Make suer all the required fields and photos are in place. A completed job is listed with a checkmark in Green on EZmobile Andirod.

How to upload a job?

Tap Sync in the menu bar, then Sync on the next page. Only the jobs checked marked in Green will get uploaded to the server. It's a good idea to check your queue on the website after the upload.

Will I lose data and photos when reinstalling app?

If you reinstall app without uninstalling it, your data and photos will remain. Use the steps under question 'Where do I get the app?' to install or reinstall the app.

My sync fails. What should I do? Reset forms?

If you run into issues with sync, form or validations, run Reset Form function to get the latest form updates. On EZmobile Android, press More -> Reset Forms.

Sometimes sync times out when system is busy. Try sync again later.

The app crashes when I try to take a photo or open the camera part of the app.

Some devices have cameras that don't work well with EZ's camera controls. Tap on the Options button while on the Photo tab, and you can uncheck the box that uses these functions. When this change is saved, the phone's built-in camera controls will be used instead, circumventing this problem.

The app has been getting more and more sluggish. What is causing this, and how can I stop it?

EZmobile IOS

Where do I get the app?

On your iPhone or iPad, log into your EZ account, go to Help -> Downloads page, move down to the EZmobileiOS section and tap the button below, then press ‘Install’ on the pop-up window.

Note that EZmobileiOS app is not available from the iTunes App Store. EZ subscribes to Apple’s Enterprise Development program in order to deploy enhancements and fixes more quickly to EZmobile users.

Tap the photo tab to attach photos. Be sure to tab the green checkmark button on the data tap to have the data run through the validation process. Make suer all the required fields and photos are in place. A completed job is listed in BLUE on EZandriod iOS.

Having too many jobs downloaded tends to slow down the app. It is best to not to exceed 200 jobs per batch. Also, over time, photos start to build up in your photo gallery and take up more of the device's memory. This will cause apps to slow down, and eventually will prevent you from taking any more photos. Try to clear out old photos from the photo pool on a regular basis.

I need to retrieve my photos. Where are they?

If you need to retrieve photos from an iPhone or iPad, you can do so by accessing EZmobile's file structure through iTunes, only. For this reason, it is suggested that you only do this as a last resort.

Contact your company admin or EZinspections support if you need instructions on performing this task.


EZWin

Where do I get the program?

On your computer, log into your EZ account, go to Help -> Downloads page, scroll to the bottom EZwin section and tap the button below to download the installation file. Click the file and follow the on-screen instructions to install EZwin program.

I got an "Application Cannot be Started" message. What do I do?

Uninstall the app with the Uninstall Ezwin tool in Start -> Programs -> Ezwin (On older installs of the program, the file path might be Start -> Programs -> Harmonisoft), then reinstall Ezwin from the Help -> Downloads page in your online account.

Ezwin is telling me the form is not recognized. What do I do?

First try using File -> Reset -> Forms Only. If that doesn't resolve the issue, then the form is missing from your company's list. Please ask a company admin to add the form to your account, or to contact our support team if they are unsure how to do this.

I tried to drag photos into Ezwin and it didn't work. What now?

This is not supported by the Ezwin software, but sometimes is available to our users due to a nuance of Windows. It is not possible to turn this function on and off, so if you lose that ability, you'll need to switch to the Add Photos button on the job screen, instead.

I get a red error message when I sync that says '>' is an unexpected token what do I do?

This is a timeout error. Try syncing again after a short wait. Be sure you're not syncing during our Midnight PST - 3:00 AM PST (3:00 AM - 6:00 AM Eastern) maintenance window, or timeouts will be more likely.

I get a red error message when I sync that says You can download ezInspections 'offline' laptop application and client updating application if you are an Pro or Enterprise Plan user. what do I do?

The admin account has been set to an "unpaid" status. The account admin needs to check and make sure that their payment method is set up correctly. Most often this happens when a credit card company incorrectly reports the card used to pay for the account as invalid, and re-entering the card number will imediately reactivate the account and allow syncing again.
